Eating Spoon – Beech Wood

A simple yet aesthetic 27 cm hand-carved spoon from locally sourced beech wood from the forests around Leipzig in Germany. Coated with walnut oil for added protection. This is the first spoon I carved from the trees around my new home in Leipzig. Beech has very condensed fibres making it perfect for everyday kitchen use. While it can be regularly washed, it’s recommended to avoid the dishwasher and prolonged water exposure.
